CPA AKENO TOM OKEYO – BBA Accounting & Finance, MBA Finance, CPA (K)

A passionate leader with finance expertise having extensive high level multidiscipline experience spanning over three decades in key management areas like strategic planning, financial reporting and modeling, credit management and corporate finance, Pension schemes and Sacco governance. Has sufficient audit and risk management hands on experience, and coupled with financial systems implementation. He has extensive experience in development financing, with excellent fund raising skills both in public and private sector environment, and capability to oversee an organization’s financial success. Possesses a track record of leading teams to grow bottom line while spearheading operational improvements to drive productivity and cost containment initiatives.

CPA Akeno is currently the Chief Finance and Investments Officer at Agricultural Finance Corporation and the Chairperson of Ufanisi DT Sacco Society ltd.  He has a wealth of experience in the Sacco sub sector spanning over two decades having performed roles in various committees namely Supervisory, Credit, Finance and Administration, Executive and management information systems implementation. He is credited with successfully leading the team that facilitated the Sacco to comply with registration and compliance requirements for deposits taking by SASRA in 2013. He is a trainer in Sacco Corporate governance, strategy and financial management.

He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting and Finance from the Kenya Methodist University. CPA Akeno is a member of good standing of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK).
